Parents attend Meeting about New West Side School

Last week, a dozen people gathered at Bloc Coffee Company to meet with representatives from Phalen Leadership Academy (PLA), the new school coming to the West Side.  The event provided another opportunity for families in the neighborhood to learn more about the plans to open a new high-performing, quality school on the West Side in partnership with Cincinnati Public School (CPS), ask questions, and get involved.

Representatives from Phalen Leadership Academy in Indianapolis, Indiana, including the Assistant Principal and Parent Liasion shared lots of information about the school's instructional and learning model, enrichment, academic offerings, and community partnerships that are designed to support both student and family success. Guests also learned about the employment opportunities currently available with PLA as they search for a Founding Principal, Director of Enrollment and Family Engagement and Elementary Teachers for the new school.  Accelerate would like to thank the team at Phalen Leadership Academies at 103 for participating, Bloc Ministries for connecting us with community resources and Bloc Coffee Company for staying open outside of business hours to graciously host this event for West Side families.

To join us at the next Parent Info Meeting or receive more information about the new school contact Accelerate Great Schools at info@accelerategreatschools.org or call (513) 239-7131.

You can also attend EPHIA (East Price Hill Improvement Association) Community Council meetings on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7:30 PM at the Price Hill Recreation Center or contact EPHIA at info@ephia.org to get more information.

Thank you to all of all the families and partners who participated.
